Here at NPWC I consider myself the “behind-the-scenes” guy. I’m always on call and happy to be the one that does most of the maintenance for the church. I told Pastor Phillip one time, as we were under the church working on the heating system at like 1 am, that I would not be the one to ever get up and speak on stage in front of the church family, to me, working on the church is my way of serving.
A friend told me one time, How is God going to be able to fix your house if you don t fix his house?
I’m good at fixing things and feel that that is my calling and where I fit in at the church.
I don’t consider the work I do here work . It’s more like an ongoing, challenging project that I look forward to.
But it turns out, that I happen to be good with kids also! This year I took on being a leader for the T&T Awana group. We teach kids from 3rd through 5th grade about God every Wednesday night.
We recently hosted an Awana grand prix workshop at our house building cars to get ready for the upcoming race.
I really enjoy my time with the kids and look forward to it every week. I think the kids do too. ;o)
I look forward to what seeing else God has planned for me in the future."
