Phillip and Teffonie Wyman
Pastors Phillip and Teffonie Wyman have served in ministry at NPWC since 2001, ministering as youth pastors, children's pastors, Campus Pastors, and, since 2013, Senior Pastors. With a heart for our community and a love for people, Pastors Phillip and Teffonie are passionate about reaching our area for Christ, serving as an apostolic covering over the North Pole area and surrounding valley.
Pastor Phillip is the teaching and visionary pastor of NPWC; a former trainer of cage fighters, he is active in mentoring men and helping them discover their unique role as husbands, fathers, and men of the Kingdom. Using cage-fighting principles, he has developed a popular teaching series entitled "Spiritual Warfare," which he has taught both in US churches and in underground churches abroad. He is passionate about both local and global missions and has traveled the world with multiple missions teams, mentoring young pastors world-wide in sustainable ministry models. He is one of the leading pre-marital couples coaches in the area, each year guiding and encouraging countless couples as they step into matrimony. He served on the leadership team of the 2015 Palau CityFest.
Pastor Teffonie is active in mentoring and coaching the leadership of NPWC. She serves alongside her husband, communicating the vision God has placed in this valley. She also speaks alongside her husband, both at NPWC and in community forums; most recently, "The 5 Love Languages of Children." She is passionate about community involvement, serving on a number of local committees and leadership teams, including the Bright Futures Leadership Team, and is the Director of World's Biggest Backpack, an outreach serving over 2,000 students each year. She is currently writing her first book and developing a blog-based ministry, "Warrior Women," empowering women to step boldly and fearlessly into the giants of the faith God has called them to be.
Pastor Phillip moved here with his family at the age of 2, when his father was stationed here with the military, while Pastor Teffonie is a 3rd generation Alaskan. Growing up in local neighborhoods and graduating from area schools, Pastors Phillip and Teffonie have a unique perspective on what it means to live and thrive in North Pole, and this has contributed to their heart to see our local community, our young people, and our families be given the opportunity to live a vibrant life for Christ!
Pastors Phillip and Teffonie are joined in ministry by their 5 children, Adara, Caden, Cable, Camden and Avalon.
